FAQ

Who are you?
We are a physician only group, with nearly 150 years of medical experience and over 50 years of recovery services experience, who provides a wide range of recovery services.

Where are your bio's?
We are happy to provide that to you individually just call our new patient counselor or visit our offices. We do not put personnel information on the internet because of the advertising trolls.

What services do you provide?
We provide a wide range of patient services from counseling to medication assisted treatment to arranging in-patient treatment if needed or following up in-patient treatment. Given our long history of medical care in the area we are very familiar with and have worked with all the regional in-patient providers both with sending patients to them and seeing patients after they have discharged. Call us and talk with us about our experience and expertise.

I have a family member who needs help but refuses what can I do?
That is a very difficult situation as legally patients cannot be compelled to do something that they do not want to do. If patients are in total denial that a problem exists (and this is very common) being persistent but not overtly confrontational is a starting point. One factor to discuss with the family member is that we go to great lengths to protect patient’s confidentiality so that they can maintain anonymity during the recovery process. Further, since we are a physician only group and patients see the same physician at each visit and we have vast medical experience there really is no patient scenario that we have not encountered before and we practice patient centered care. Call us and talk with us about options.

Do you take insurance?
Not at this time and we have many reasons for this. First of all some of our long-term patients do not want to utilize their insurance because of concerns about confidentiality and this is a very real concern as patients have lost jobs or had their insurance premiums increased and if we took insurance for one patient then we have to take it for all patients or be liable for insurance fraud. For instance, drug screening test results are available to the insurance companies if a claim is filed. There are cases where insurance companies have used the test results against the patient. Not with us. Further, taking insurance significantly increases the cost and burden of care as there are many hoops insurance companies have patients and us jump through. If patients desire to use their insurance, the private insurance companies do allow for patients to file a self-claim to be reimbursed directly. In addition, with the very high deductibles now, most all of the office visits are essentially self-pay anyway due to the amount of the co-pay required. Call us and talk with us about your situation.

What are your patient requirements?
If you mean as far as treatment goes, that all depends on the patient'ss situation. Many factors need addressed in recovery so treatment requirements vary. Since we firmly believe a patient centered respectful care is absolutely necessary for recovery, we are not punitive or invasive or demeaning in any manner in the care we provide.

What addictions do you treat?
With board certified physicians we can treat a range of addictions as an outpatient.

My work schedule makes planning appointments difficult how can I pursue treatment?
This is common and we will work with your schedule. We have physicians available most days of the week including Saturday and Sunday. We understand that job priorities are very important. Since we do not take insurance we don't have to require you to participate in other activities to increase insurance billing.
